I f*ing hate technology, even yours. For as much as you help prevent screen addiction, you’ve just ruined the work I was doing, editing a video in Instagram for my small business. It’s happened several times where a video I’m editing gets interrupted by the Opal block screen & when I return, the edits are destroyed– this time was my voiceover, erased. Problem is, your screen to “leave early” (which frankly is confusing language, I still don’t understand the wording of these “breaks”), is hard to get to, and sometimes I start editing during a 15 minute “break”, only to be interrupted. I am actually working and I don’t want to be stopped by your app. This is my actual work not a break.
I am suggesting that you need a “creator mode” option, that would turn off the block for a long or indefinite period of time. It should be easier to get to than the regular block, and should be an option that is one-click from a block screen. I understand your app can’t detect when I’m video editing but that is a full exception where I need to get around your block screen and I HATE your app for destroying my work. Yesterday Instagram erased my entire voice over and 2 hours of editing work bc I hit the “x” and instead of offering a “save draft” I was at the one screen where the X just erases everything you’ve done. If this happens one more time I am considering leaving Opal and going to either another blocking app or none at all.
